Germana is an independent artisanal distillery, built on traditional methods to produce the world’s finest Cachaça. The hands-on approach taken by the Caetano family can be seen in the hand-harvesting of the sugar cane and the transporting thereof via oxen carts. With only one plug point in the distillery, used only for crushing the sugar cane, their whole production method is a real blast from the past.

Germana creates a hand-crafted artisanal Cachaça. Cachaça is the national spirit of Brazil, made from distilled sugar cane juice and corn flour. Before distillation, the juice ferments naturally from the yeasts present in the air in a wooden or metal container for three weeks. Cachaça is distilled in such a way that the scent of the sugar cane remains. Bottled at 43% in 1 litre bottles.
