Cocchi Americano is an aromatized wine created in 1891 by Giulio Cocchi and since then produced without interruption according to the original recipe. The name “Americano” is both due to the alcohol made bitter (“amaricato”) by the addition of herbs and spices and to the American habit of drinking vermouth with ice and soda.

To produce Cocchi Americano, white wine is aromatized with the extracts obtained through a cold infusion in alcohol, then refined for balancing the spices’ aromas and tastes.[/vc_hoverbox][vc_empty_space][vc_hoverbox image=”1564″ primary_title=”” hover_title=”storico di torino” shape=”square” hover_background_color=”chino”]16% ABV

A true Italian icon, the Storico Vermouth di Torino is still produced using the original recipe. A classic Italian vermouth, this sweet amber liquid is a staple in the best bars around the world.

Herbs such as Cinchona (quinine bark) and rhubarb lightly colour the clear wine base brown. Sugar, browned on the fire, is added to emphasize the amber tone and add the distinctive taste of cotton candy to round off all the bitter tastes without using vanilla. Artemisia (wormwood) and citrus dominate with their balanced bitter and citrusy notes which characterize Cocchi style.

This vermouth is the perfect base for creating classic cocktails like the Negroni and Manhattan, and can also be enjoyed neat on ice with a bit of lemon zest.[/vc_hoverbox][vc_empty_space height=”50px”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_hoverbox image=”1563″ primary_title=”” hover_title=”americano rosa” shape=”square” hover_background_color=”chino”]16.5% ABV

Cocchi Americano is so-called both due to the alcohol made bitter (“amaricato”) by the addition of herbs and spices and to the American habit of drinking vermouth with ice and soda.

Cocchi Rosa is produced with red wines, from which it derives its natural red colour and wild rose notes. Refined with natural extracts of flowers and spices, in particular gentian, cinchona and citrus as per the Americano Bianco but with the addition of saffron, vanilla and rose petals.[/vc_hoverbox][vc_empty_space][vc_hoverbox image=”1562″ primary_title=”” hover_title=”DOPO TEATRO AMARO” shape=”square” hover_background_color=”chino”]16% ABV

There is a Piedmontese tradition of enjoying a small glass of cold vermouth with lemon zest in the evening after attending a performance in one of the historic theatres in the area. The Dopo Teatro Amaro, which literally translates to After Theatre Bitter, is an “evening vermouth”, and was named after this tradition.

This bitter vermouth has been created according to the original recipe developed by Giulio Cocchi more than a century ago where Artemisia (wormwood) was enriched with rhubarb, quassia (bitter-ash) wood, chiretta and a double infusion of cinchona (quinine bark). The addition of Barolo Chinato to the base wine gives delicately red nuances and a further soft and complex note.

Enjoy as a tonic aperitif, a pleasant end-of-meal drink, or as the perfect bittering ingredient for the best cocktails.[/vc_hoverbox][vc_empty_space height=”50px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][trx_button align=”center” link=”https://www.liquidity.co.za/portfolio/”]back to our portfolio[/trx_button][/vc_column][/vc_row]
